Our specialist wash and reproof service is designed specifically for performance gear. We use technical cleaning processes that safely remove contaminants without damaging membranes or insulation, followed by professional-grade reproofing to restore water repellency and reactivate performance.

Should I add a Sterilise Treatment?
Our sanitisation treatment targets what washing alone can’t. While cleaning removes dirt and residue, it works at a microscopic level to neutralise odour-causing microbes and sanitise deep within fibres and padding.
It’s ideal for items with persistent smells, smoke, sweat, damp, pet odours or long-term storage mustiness and particularly beneficial for helmets, insulated gear and heavily used equipment and products.
If your item only needs routine cleaning, this may not be necessary. But for high-odour or stored gear and products, it provides a powerful additional reset.

How it works.
1. Book Your Service
Add your chosen service to your basket and complete checkout.
2. Confirm & Assess
You’ll receive an order confirmation, followed by a separate email requesting further details and photos of your item prior to shipping. This ensures we can assess suitability and advise if needed.
3. Send Your Item
Once confirmed, send your item to the address provided in your email.
4. Specialist Processing
We professionally clean, deodorise and restore your gear using our specialist performance-led process.
5. Return Delivery
Your item is returned free of charge within 14 days. Need it sooner? Select Express at checkout for a 7-day turnaround.
Shipping & Returns.
Sending Your Item to Us
Once your order is placed, you will receive an order confirmation followed by a separate email requesting additional details and photographs of your item. This email will also include the address for you to send your item to us.
Customers are responsible for arranging and covering the cost of shipping items to The Gear Spa. We recommend using a tracked and insured service, as we cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged in transit to us.
Processing & Turnaround
Standard service has a turnaround time of up to 14 days from the date your item is received.
If you select Express Service at checkout, your item will be processed and returned within 7 days of receipt.
Return Shipping
Return shipping is included free of charge for all standard UK orders. Once your item has been processed, it will be securely packaged and returned to the delivery address provided at checkout.
